Assessment and Testing
General
This document is used by students interested in obtaining Spanish placement. Students may take the Spanish Placement Test at either of CWI's Assessment Services Centers. Please call to schedule an appointment two business days in advance: Aspen Creek Assessment 208.562.3267 or Ada County Assessment 208.562.2542. Please note: This form will be completed by an Assessment Services employee who will then submit it to One Stop Student Services for processing. Following testing, you will need to complete an Add/Drop form to register for your class. See form above in this list.
To request a proctored exam, an instructor must fill out this form and e-mail it to cwiproctor@cwidaho.cc or call 208.562.3000.
Financial Aid
Appeals
This form is intended for students requesting a recalculation of financial need based on special or unusual circumstances. This appeal is only appropriate if ALL of the following are true.
- Your 2011 Expected Family Contribution (EFC) from your 2011-12 FAFSA is greater than zero.
- Your 2011 financial information will be significantly different than it was in 2010.
- Your 2011 financial information is different than the information you provided on your 2011-2012 FAFSA.
IMPORTANT: Submitting an appeal does NOT guarantee that your appeal will be approved and your financial aid eligibility will adjusted.

Satisfactory Academic Progress
This form is intended for students who have received a notification of financial aid suspension. Students who have not met the Satisfactory Academic Progress Standards can appeal to a committee to restore financial aid eligibility for future semesters. Please note: If you have been placed on academic suspension, see the Academic Suspension Information in the Registration and Records section.
IMPORTANT: Submitting an appeal does NOT guarantee that your appeal will be approved and your financial aid eligibility will be reinstated.
Students applying for or receiving financial aid at the College of Western Idaho must meet the college's standards of satisfactory academic progress in order to first establish, and then maintain eligibility. This document describes CWI's financial aid satisfactory academic progress standards in detail.
